summary
Rathink Green seeks to obtain a dynamic and organized individual to work as a project coordinator for a growing portfolio of climate air conditioning initiatives in northeast Ontario. This includes Climate and flexibility training programand The green economy in the northRelated community climate adaptation projects. These programs aim to provide municipalities, indigenous societies and companies with tools and training to enhance flexibility through sustainable construction practices, urban agriculture, and reduce emissions and strategies for climate reference business.
The project coordinator will play a major role in planning, coordination and providing these influential initiatives while supporting the Rathink Green mission to enable societies and organizations to adapt to the changing climate.
Main responsibilities
Program coordination
- Supervising the daily implementation of multiple climate adaptation programs, including adaptation, climate flexibility training program and green economics.
- Development and preserving the project’s detailed plans, including tables, landmarks, and deliveries.
- Ensure that all the activities of the program are in line with the re -thinking about the strategic goals of the Rathink Green and financing requirements.
- Follow progress, report on results, determine risks or problems that affect delivery.
The participation of the stakeholders
- It is the main contact of the program’s participants, including local government employees, elected officials, representatives of the first nations, and business leaders.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with cooperative partners such as Bay Mnidoo Gamii Biosphere and the green economy in Canada.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between the stakeholders, partners and the internal team.
Training and support for business and events
- Coordination of logistical services for personal and apparent training sessions, workshops and events through programs.
- Supporting design and facilitating project launches, workshops and closing events.
- Work with the project team to provide dedicated training on urban agriculture, climate construction practices, and business sustainability strategies (for example, emissions tracking, climate adaptation planning).
Budget and reporting
- Monitor the project expenses and ensure compatibility with the approved budgets.
- Prepare the application reports for the CEO, financing agencies and program partners.
- Ensure compliance with all grants and deliveries.
Leadership of the team
- Cooperation closely with internal employees (for example, communications/training course coordinator, climate innovation official, northern green economics) to ensure the delivery of the coherent program.
- Providing guidance and support for the project teams, and ensuring compatibility with the goals.
Qualifications
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Project Management, Public Administration, or Related Field (Air -Treachery Experience).
- 2-5 years of experience in coordinating the project, ideally in environmental sustainability, climate adaptation, community participation or government sectors.
- Knowledge of adaptation to climate, sustainability, or emissions reducing initiatives is one of the strong assets.
Skills and competencies
- Organizational skills and exceptional time management, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Personal communication skills and strong communications, including rhetoric and stakeholders’ participation.
- Efficiency in Project Management and Program Tools (for example, Microsoft Office, ASana, Trello).
- The experience of working with municipalities, indigenous societies, companies or other regional institutions is one of the assets.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a cooperative team.
Other requirements
- Good driving license and access to reliable means of transportation (for regional travel).
- The ability to work flexible watches, including accidental evenings and weekends, as required.
- The applicants should be at least 18 years.
- Applicants in North Ontario should reside, and they are entitled to work in Canada.
- The candidates must be new to the workforce, move to a new profession, or the unemployed/who suffer from a lack of work and enter a new field.
- The applicants should not have previously participated in the NOHFC program for people and talents.
