About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Open University as a great lecturer in the creative industries (films and media) in our creative industries school. We are looking for an individual dedicated to joining a team that develops innovative educational resources online in creative industries, specifically, to rehabilitate the new (Hons) films and media. The role will include driving and may include school management responsibilities.

You must be enthusiastic about our unique mission, and about working in teams to develop a diversified and comprehensive new curriculum and embrace the opportunities for distance learning. We welcome applications from those who have experience in teaching and developing stereotypes and research, and who can show the understanding of academic and professional needs of students looking to study and work in the film and media sectors.

In addition to contributing to the design of stereotypes and teaching within movies and media, you will be encouraged and supported to develop research and influence activities within the region. Although it is expected that your research experience is expected to expand our current approach, you must also have the capabilities, willingness to teach and contribute to stereotypes outside any specialty.

Main responsibilities

Teaching design and curriculum design

  • Providing leadership and contributing to developing and providing high -quality curricula in movies and media at university levels and graduate studies.
  • Providing leadership in developing and contributing the online stereotypes content and contributing to our basic values ​​of equality, diversity, integration and access.
  • Supporting students learning activity by contributing to preparing assessment materials and participating in quality assurance and examination.
  • Contribute to the offer of open university units, which may include: heads of stereotypes teams; Remote and train lessons; Inclusion with teaching, evaluation and mark.

  • Promote the school’s research and scholarship file and faculty through the continuous development of the research portfolio and the impact of quality.

  • Promote school ties with industry to enable cooperation, influence and exchange of knowledge.
  • Attracting and supervising graduate research students.

Management, management and other duties
