About the role

The prostate cancer unit at the University of California in Los Angeles has carried out unprecedented work over the years, as it has turned our understanding of this disease and the global approach to its diagnosis and treatment. Professor Mark Embrton, researchers in prostate cancer, discovered the benefits of using scanners for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to diagnose prostate cancer. This discovery has proven to be effective and non -invisible. It has doubled the accuracy of the diagnosis of prostate cancer, allowing thousands of men annually to avoid an unnecessary biopsy. Few institutions have experience, success and specialized infrastructure to implement pioneering research and clinical experiences needed to push research forward in prostate cancer today. At the University of California in the United States, we are a global pioneer in MRI for the prostate and two main studies over the past ten years (Promis, Precision and Prime Prime) have successfully led the group of researchers and doctors.

This function is perfect for pre -CCT doctor in training or returning to training after the search post. We welcome post -CCT doctors to apply, but will be funded according to their advisory salary scale and depend on doing joint work according to Folita’s principles.

The mail holder should hold a medical certificate (MD, MC Chb or its equivalent).

GMC registration (UK non -trained applicants must provide corresponding evidence for eligibility to register full GMC)

Knowledge of prostate cancer, its width, diagnosis, available options, and side side effects will be useful.

A successful candidate must have experience in publishing in the medical magazines that the pendant reviewed.

Prepare to write the papers cooperatively and get results in conferences if necessary.
