🌟 The main memorization world – West Africa in RSPB

This post provides an exciting opportunity for the world with experience in the science of conservation of tropical forests, evaluating the service of the ecosystems and an explicit spatial scenario that uses their scientific experience to inform the provision of sustainable livelihoods and the preservation of tropical forests at a hot point of global biological diversity under a major threat.
Joining the International Conservative Sciences team, you will work closely with international operations colleagues and social sciences in RSPB partners, Birdlife partners and stakeholders in the country. It will make a complete contribution to the work of the International Conservative Sciences team, the wider memorization science department, international RSPB programs, work with countryside partners and through Birdlife.
Successful candidate:
- Initially work with Scnl (Birdlife Liberalia) in a project funded by the European Union to evaluate the land management scenarios in the community lands in the Greater Gola scene, with identifying more effective ways of living, biological diversity and ecosystem services in the same scene.
- Explicit scenario models produce economic benefits, the costs of using land, bodies and synergy with biological diversity. It will maintain biological diversity and enable societies to make enlightened decisions about participating in political initiatives such as Redd+.
- Providing the necessary evidence for sustainable financing to maintain forests in the Golar Gola scene in Liberia and measuring the effect of these plans.
- Determine the important knowledge gaps on the research of forest use and land for Liberia research and design to respond to these gaps to ensure that RSPB actions and projects depend on evidence.
necessary:
- PhD in the relevant subject, or equivalent experience.
- It can provide a strategic leadership in conserving tropical forests, including the evaluation of the organization’s ecosystem service.
- Experience that can be clarified in collecting external financing for science projects, especially in applied memorization flows and working with multiple partners
- Wide and profound knowledge about the environment of forest species in West Africa/tropical and evaluating the service of the ecosystem to answer new questions at both practical and analytical levels.
- Project design to a strong scientific standard – predicting the necessary time standards
- Complex scientific principles and results can be clearly connected to a group of non -higher stakeholders through writing and calling for a wide range of masses.
- The skilled use of packages for statistical and spatial data analyzes, such as a high level of coding experience in spatial packets in R or Python.
- Wide experience has proven to work as a world world, as it leads multiple scientific research projects, management of budgets, employees, volunteers, students, and publishing the papers reviewed by the peers.
- Culturally sensitive and able to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and his very diverse colleagues.
- The experience of work in memorization or science in one or more low -income countries.

This post has a strong possibility to extend it if it succeeds in securing external financing for forest preservation research in West Africa. If extended, it will support the conservation of tropical forests and the broader forests in RSPB in West Africa, with a focus on Guinea’s forests, and working in Nexus between preserving biological diversity and ecosystem services to achieve evidence -based forest.
