About the role
The purchasing assistant will support the IT purchasing team in providing a professional, effective and knowledgeable service to buy and supply devices and programs for information technology for university and students.
The role will provide accurate and timely assistance and a review of the management of devices and programs compatible with university financial regulations.
Procurement support:
- Raising purchase requests and purchase orders that guarantee purchase are made according to the policy of purchasing and guidelines for purchase and legislation in the United Kingdom.
- Check the validity of purchase requests.
- Solving or referring incompatible requests as necessary.
- Investigating inquiries and contradictions with requests, receipts, orders and escalating invoices as required.
- Check that delivery operations are complete, recording received goods, and treated returns to sellers.
- Ensure that all requests are shipped with the correct values ​​and quantities, which leads to the required adjustments.
- Use the university purchase to pay a system.
- Use the administration purchase card and ensure keeping accurate records of expenses.
General ITP Management Support:
- Deal with phone inquiries and take messages as required.
- Receipt and distribution Post and delivery.
- Receive the goods through the university financing system and pass the bills to the payments office.
- Helping contact with suppliers to search, source and buy goods and services.
