The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) seeks to employ an II colleague and protocol that facilitates the smooth administrative, diplomatic and logistical support for ILRI staff, communication and protocol. The role guarantees compliance with government regulations, smooth operation of the unit, effective dealing with protocol services, coordination with the main stakeholders, including government agencies, embassies and service providers.
The International Livestock Institute (ILRI) works to improve food and nutritional security and reduce poverty in developing countries through research for effective, safe and sustainable use of livestock. It is the only one among the 15 CGIAR Research Centers for Animal Agriculture Research for the developing world. She participated in hosting Kenya and Ethiopia, and has regional or rural offices and projects in East, Southeast Asia, as well as central, eastern, southern and western Africa. www.ilri.org.
Main responsibilities:
- Operation visas, various permits, relevant documents for ILRI employees, accredited luxury, official guests through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and relevant embassies.
- Dealing with exit visas to leave the internationally appointed employees (IRS).
- Facilitate the issuance and renovation of private ID cards, driving licenses, and radio licenses.
- ILRI is safe import and export permits, vehicles, office supplies, and personal effects of international employees.
- Dealing with purchase, sale, inspection, registration, and a certificate of annual methods for the official ILRI vehicles and the tax department vehicles.
- Providing support in traffic accident cases, police contact, hospitals, courts and insurance companies.
- The process/facilitation/dealing with airport protocol services, including access to the VIP hall, airport passing permits, vehicle coordination, receipt/decrease service for official guests and employees.
- Correspondence and preparation of official correspondence, including verbal observation, official letters, notes and other diplomatic contacts.
- Attendance for visitors, phone calls, email messages, and ensuring timely and timely responses.
- Address and follow up on payments, including travel agencies and other service providers.
- Maintaining and organizing electronic and manual deposit systems for the department.
- Dealing with utility payments, simple cash management, and simple purchases
- Performing any other related duties as needed.
Academic and professional qualifications:
education:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least a year or diploma in the relevant field with three years of relevant experience
- Knowledge in the relevant field and relevant technical training
expertise:
- At least one year to obtain a bachelor’s degree or three years of diploma with relevant experience in the consulate, communication, protocol or government relations, it is preferable to be in a ministerial office, foreign missions or an international diplomatic organization.
skills:
- Knowledge of the Ethiopian government (MAFA, Customs, Immigration, Transportation authorities, etc.) is very desirable.
- Excellent regulatory capabilities and tasks with attention to detail.
- Driver specialized in a valid driving license
- Efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Power Geez and Erp Systems
- An experiment installed using online platforms such as electronic service, individual window, E-Visa, Tass, etc.
- Liquidation in Amhareiya and English, both of which are written and spoken.
- Knowing other Ethiopian languages ​​is useful

Grade: Mercury 11
The minimum basic salary: Birr 29,224 per month
