Arnold & Porter has the opening of the VII IP Director at the Washington DC Office. The IP first manager oversees the IP (patent and brand patents).
Basic jobs and responsibilities:
- Docketing, patent agent, patent writer, and IP administrative staff, are supervised.
- It provides creative solutions and effective legal processes by developing and implementing best practices and procedures.
- Responsibility delegate, evaluation of activities, preparation of performance evaluations and professional development plans.
- It is supervised by the management of the company’s foreign and local allegations, including patents, brands and copyrights.
- It monitors and provides advice to lawyers regarding the updates of the IP law and trends in foreign and local judicial states.
- As an IP connection with internal departments and manages relations with third -party agencies and relevant organizations.
- Coordations and monitoring training and development of IP administration employees.
- It oversees and deals with complex and specialized IP projects.
- Reviews and manage the relevant departments and expenses.
- It manages the customer intake and file transfer operations.
- Performing public prosecution support functions.
- The IP Register file is supervised.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- IP experience of the previous relevant at least eight years and three years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, electronic intellectual property resources, USPTO, and Dockting IP systems such as Inprotech. Infinter with Saegis and Coresearch.
- Excellent organizational skills and communications, junior and book.
- The ability to deal with a number of responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong team player skills.
- Flexibility at work additional hours and travel, as necessary.

The expected basic salary for this position is $ 154,000 to 192,500 dollars. The actual basic salary provided depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the qualifications of the individual applicant for this position, years of relevant experience, level of education, certificates or other professional licenses, and if that applies, the location in which the applicant lives and/or will perform the job.
