The London School of Hygiene and Equity Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. We are looking for an experienced purchase specialist for purchase, policy and strategy in LSHTM. You will lead a firm team of 7 colleagues, focusing on ensuring LSHTM achieved value for money by spending not affecting payment and that purchasing methods are in line with the LSHTM mission, values ​​and aspirations.
It is expected to increase the development of the purchase function, move towards the category approach and ensure further enhancement of services for a wide range of interests of LSHTM.
As such, you will need to be a reliable and farewell leader of purchases, as it combines allergies to the requirements of stakeholders and the durability of the process to ensure compliance with internal policy and external organization.
You should be able to lead LSHTM during a transitional period to include the entirely 2023 purchasing law and sustainability in our operations. You should be comfortable working in a dynamic and variable environment.
Due to the seniority of this post, we expect to be a member of CIPS or have an equivalent experience that explains your professional knowledge, skills and personal development. The purchase function experience is an essential complex environment (preferably in higher education / public sector).
Full -time post and is presented on a permanent basis.
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, the eighth grade in the range of 63,579 pounds – 72,972 pounds annually (including weighting in London).
The post will be subject to LSHTM terms and service provisions. The annual leave right is 30 working days per year. In addition, there are appreciation “welfare days”. Pension scheme membership is available. The post is located in London in Lshtm.
