✨ #50- The Mission Held- Life and TIPER (Job 10:12)
explained
52 reasons for the love of the church
Written by Cathy Pollard
What does it mean to be thinking about the task? This means that you are ready to go anywhere people need to hear about Jesus. The Apostles left everything when Jesus said, “Follow me” (Matthew 4:19). (An interesting side note … Jesus said, “Follow me” in 12 different talks!) Paul traveled to the Mediterranean world to spread the Bible (Business 13-20). The first Christians “went everywhere they preached the word” (Acts 8: 4). Today there are missionaries serving in foreign countries and in the “mission areas” in our country. Some have an unrestricted function of lifting full -time subsidies for living and teaching in a place not even their culture. This means that they come out of their comfort area twice! Some have assumed multiple jobs just to make it possible to work with small gatherings that cannot pay a preacher. God bless the mission!
God can use to bless the mission. What if we all adopt a missionary on Christmas? Here are some ways that we can make more fun:
- Add them to your list of prayers and let them know that your family pray for them every day.
- Send an encouragement card (real mail). The Holy Books that will be reminded of God include their efforts.
- Arrange to send a Christmas bonus to them. Sometimes, the churches give their ministers a holiday bonus, and this is often used for family gifts or special needs. I imagine that there are many missionaries who will appreciate something like this. Perhaps the Church family can collect cash donations to send.
- Send good things. Instead of sending the used curricula that we could not abandon for free (there is no mistake in that, ha), what about sending new, bright, and visual aid curricula? You can send a link to an online store and ask them to create a wish list.
- Put a care package of their favorite treatments. Their idea of treatments may be different from our idea. They often eager for things that they can no longer have access to (things that we consider is rejected by it). Ask what they miss, and perhaps they will include things such as Taku spice, crystal light, and some shampoo brands. Again, the Church family can help. Put a list of items for everyone to collect it, then charge it with a encouraging memo.
The reward points to ask a friend or another family to join you in adopting a missionary!
“Go to the world …” I thank God for the rationality that took this to the heart, and those who literally moved to other lands. They see the big picture and they had the courage and faith to take the big steps. May God use them all over the world! Let’s grow up to an individual or two and hold their hands this season. We can call it the Aaron and Hur project (exit 17: 11-12). 🙂
