I was on the phone yesterday with an employment manager at the first level of a possible new customer, and said that something I had not heard of for a long time.
“We love the older programmers.“
When I speak with CTOS and employ the authorities about the employment of their dreams, some are more careful than others when mentioning their preferences. I am not a lawyer and I do not know details about the rest of the world, but here in the United States we have laws trying to prevent discrimination in employment. Some representatives of the company will describe the ideal candidates for employees in talks that can approach a somewhat gray line from a legal point of view, and in these cases, the recruiter should make it clear that/she will provide all qualified candidates regardless of whether they are a member of some demographic.
We have read a lot about the age that works against the largest in industry so that we sometimes forget that there are companies that prefer some gray hair. The problem, of course, lies in the numbers. As I said, I have not heard a strong desire to employ the higher level resources for a long time, and we generally do not see companies that use a language in ads that tend to attract the older applicants.
The specifications of the jobs formulated by human resources or internal recruits may describe the company as a young woman and has energy without any ambiguity on whether the reference is The employees themselves or Organization’s modernity. “We are a young company” that can have more than one meaning – perhaps “we are all in 22 years”, or perhaps it means “we are in an incubator and an angel’s incubator.” We may read about the established and stable companies, but how many times do you see a reference to a “mature team”?
When we look at the company’s websites that show pictures of the entire development teams or just a few specific personal files, they can give a feeling of the type of culture that the company is trying to photograph. These are usually smaller companies and emerging companies with photo options ranging from serious shots and cream to a photo photographer trying without shame to attract a younger audience.
Perhaps this is because I am in the mid -1940s, or perhaps it is because of the age I heard about (and the defense of my customers with words) in my country Resuming business writingOr perhaps because I spent 15 years running a file Java user group This was a share of gray hair, but I was always sympathetic to the ordeal of the oldest developer. It is refreshing to hear someone who states that he welcomes the largest talents, and I hope to hear this in the future.
