Are you interested in developing neurological technology to treat brain disorders? In this doctorate, it will work with animal and human activity data sets. Math methods will be applied to describe spatial and seductive patterns across the various neurons in the new shell and use to stimulate the brain closed. By studying how these spatial temporal dynamics are linked to behavior, the methods of deciphering the new brain will develop and test the generalization of these areas and species in the brain.

It will work with a multidisciplinary team led by Professor Andrew Jackson with funding from the ARIA, which uses multi -electrodes on the latest model to obtain high -resolution records from within the brain. You will become an expert in the latest methods of artificial intelligence to explain these large data collections, as well as mathematical models that pick up a low -dimensional structure that reflects the structure of the modern cerebral cortex. By working with researchers who develop new ways to stimulate the brain, it will contribute to developing closed loop algorithms to regulate brain dynamics with clinical applications in psychological and psychological disorders.
