About the role

We are looking for a scala developer from the average level to join our team, focusing on building products features and enhancing them for Samsung Food devices on web devices, mobile phone and Samsung. You will participate in all stages of development, from designing solutions to spreading artifacts in production.

This is the role of a full -time contractor.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the features of the product compatible with the user’s needs and the company’s goals, and ensure high quality coding and consistency by adhering to coding standards and style guides.
• Reducing technical debt and enhancing system functions, monitoring scales actively and treating alerts or test failure.
• Drive Design Documentation and participating in architecture discussions with some directives from the director of engineering, including writing and reviewing design documents.
• Support team members by sharing knowledge, providing solutions, and providing constructive notes in reviews.
• Commitment to improvements and proactively suggest improvements to the team and the company’s operations, ensure consistency and efficiency, and challenge current practices when they are useful.
• Cooperation with multi -functional teams, providing visions about product requirements and system improvements.
• Effectively managing time, meeting task estimates and delivering any risks to the final dates or deliveries in advance.
• Regular consultation and contribute to the base of knowledge team and documents, and to ensure and accessible information.

Required qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in developing Scala.
• 3-5 years of experience in developing professional software.
• Efficiency in functional programming libraries (for example, Cats, Cats-Effect, Zio).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with NOSQL databases (for example, Mongodb, Elasticsearch).
• Knowledge of temporary storage (for example Redis)
• Practical experience with distributed systems and API REST development.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and Masset Brokers (Kafka, Google Pubsub, RabbitmQ).
• English efficiency.
