About the School of Arts and Humanities

The school provides transformative educational experiences across the degrees of postgraduate studies from MA to doctorate, and integrate studio -based practices with an innovative approach in humanities, and applied arts. We enhance the culture of intellectual curiosity, critical debate and learning from peers in a vibrant society from researchers and practitioners. Students cooperate via RCA and with the leading cultural institutions in London, and develop work that responds to contemporary social, cultural and moral dynamics. About the practice of contemporary art

CAP is recognized internationally as the leading fine arts course in the field of postgraduate studies, known as its after the mediator, which works critically. It provides three paths-high-end practice, moving image, and general field-where students work through installation, movies, performance, publications, sound, VR, writing and technical beauty.

Students deal with international questions related to the environment, politics, culture and society. Many expand the role of the artist as activists, publishers, teachers, researchers in urban areas and community organizers. The program provides an extensive and experimental environment of educational programs, breakage, seminars and lectures, and encouraging students to develop their practices in the broader contemporary world.

Role

We are seeking a dynamic academic with a strong and enthusiastic cookie to teach to contribute to the development of CAP and the broader school. you will:

  • Delivery of the teaching led by the research through lectures, workshops, seminars and fractures.
  • Providing academic and pastoral support, including lessons and comments on students’ work.
  • Contribute to the design of the curricula, the development of instinctive teaching and evaluation.
  • Supporting exhibitions, events and field trips.
  • Supervising academic work for graduate studies at master’s and doctorate levels.
  • High -quality search outputs (at least 3* reference standard) produce and contribute to the school’s research culture.
  • Follow -up to financing and cooperation opportunities in research projects and exchange of knowledge.
  • Employment in employment and external partnerships and industry cooperation to enhance RCA and its students.

About you

The successful candidate will appear:

  • A strong commitment to high -quality teaching environments and comprehensive learning.
  • Experience in setting, teaching and evaluating courses at the graduate level.
  • Evidence of ability, or clear potential, to produce research outputs of at least 3* quality of reference.
  • The ability to oversee academic work at the master’s and/or doctorate level.
  • Commitment to equality of opportunities and work cooperatively with various societies.

The first degree in a necessary related field. PhD or professional/equivalent technical achievement is desirable. If you have a supervision of research students, you must actually have, or be ready to complete the training training training within two years of appointment.
