Role
The Institute of Communications Systems (ICS) for the 5G/6G (5G/6GIC) Innovation Center is looking for a research engineer for the design of the Future Communications Systems.
This exciting opportunity will witness the successful candidate for a set of research and development activities (R&D) in the field of signaling for future communications systems that focus on the advanced physical layer (phy) suitable for traditional and emerging computer research projects (such as analog, nervous) according to the specific internal and external research projects.
ICS is the largest academic research institute in Europe specialized in all aspects of information and communication technology (information and communications technologies). It is home to more than 200 researchers with experience in all communications and broadcasting systems and has developed the best in large -scale tests for research and innovation and enjoy the latest laboratories and account.
5GIC was founded in 2012, the world’s first dedicated center in the search for comprehensive aspects of 5G and is working closely with the leading national and international academic institutes and the main industrial partners. In November 2020, 6GIC was officially launched with a parallel research in both 5G+ and 6G for 2030+.
About you
The successful candidate must be:
- Deep understanding of MIMO and huge MIMO systems for 5G systems and beyond
- Deep knowledge of the advanced signaling techniques of the 5GNR physical layer, including MIMO, MIMO and Precoding
- Very strong coding skills (for example, C, Matlab)
- Previous experience with wireless research platforms (for example, USRPS)
- Knowing a comprehensive work of 3GPP (for example,: LTE, 5GNR)
- Understanding the current and future challenges in 5G and Open Ran Systems
- Implementing devices and/or programs for digital signaling algorithms in actual systems
