This is a tone of grant, temporary, full -time, for a period of four years without the possibility of renewal. The ART Cataloger team will provide reports to the director of visual material materials, documenting, describing them, and re -sale from the arts group in the center, which have been determined as an indexing priority by the Secretary of Art. Although primarily consist of works on paper, such as prints and graphics, materials may also include a limited number of paintings and textiles.

The technical index will create and update the consistent and accurate catalog records at the level of the elements in the center’s collection management system in accordance with the internal procedures and current standards of the museum’s theory and practice.

ART Cataloger Index will provide routine housing for art collection materials as needed, and work with guidelines from employees to maintain the center and conservation, to ensure the maintenance and security of the materials in the long run.

The arts index will participate in descriptive data functions and relevant discovery as set.

Responsibilities

• By examining objects and research, determining, documents, describing art collection materials, and creating catalog records at the level of consistent and accurate elements in the center management system according to national and local standards.
• It updates old records at the level of the element to raise the level of indexing to the current standards. Helps create definition data for digital images.

Required qualifications
