About the role

We are seeking a full -time post -PhD research assistant to join the Numerical Analysis Research Group in the Ministry of Engineering Sciences (OSNEY). The post is funded by Rolls-Royce and is specified for a period of 6 months with the possibility of extension.

The accumulation of ice is a serious threat to civil aviation, but it is also a difficult phenomenon of the model. The latest progress in this field is the basic physical understanding of phenomena in play, but the exact predictions of realistic geometric shapes are still difficult.

You will be responsible for carrying out the accumulation and validation models in the firm industrial CFD. You will be responsible for communicating with our sponsor and publishing your business results.

About you

You should be in your possession or are about to finish a doctorate degree or qualification equivalent in the dynamics of mathematical fluids or applied mathematics.
