If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join the applied behavioral science department.
What is the job?
It will work in the College of War, Security and Leadership at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, a very prominent leadership institution that is famous for the level of distinguished leaders.
As a lecturer in the Department of Communications and Applied Sciences (CABS), you will first teach and officers staff (trained army officers) in Sandhurst. Your role is to help them understand and apply ideas from leadership, psychology and social sciences, so that they can develop critical thinking, communication and personal skills necessary to lead effectively.
You will design and deliver attractive teaching at university levels and graduate studies, and work in a very applied environment where theory is always related to practice. The job also provides opportunities to contribute to field training in the United Kingdom and Europe, and to provide courses to local and international military masses.
This role combines academic teaching with an opportunity to make a real influence: the formation of future army officers development in one of the most respectable leadership academies in the world.
Person specifications:
- Delivery of teaching in an application environment at the level of graduate studies and university students, with enthusiasm to implement this in a military context.
- Search for relevant topics and publish results
- With self -motives for the management of both professional and personal administration.
- Excellent communication skills to perform additional academic support tasks.
- Downtown in the continued professional development and the desire for skill in emerging areas.
Qualifications:
Qualification after graduation (or near completion) in one of the following specializations: leadership and management, behavioral science, psychology, sociology, conflict solution studies/conflict, defense/military studies.
If you do not have a doctorate, the master’s degree in one of the above specializations and/or equivalent experience is also acceptable.
Teaching qualification or experience, with the aim of working for the qualification of level 7.

- Besides your salary, the Ministry of Defense contributes 12,917 pounds to being a member of the specific civil service pension system.
- 25 days paid annual leave (one day per year) to 30 days when the service of 5 years is completed

- 6 days of special leave per year for voluntary activities
