We are excited to invite applications for the role of a learning support specialist – digital printing (fixed term) within the Digital Learning, Printing and Fashion Support team at Leeds Art College at Leeds Picky University.

This is a great opportunity for a technically skilled individual and a motive for creativity to support our vibrant society from students and employees who work through specializations that require excellence in the production of digital printing and design.

About the role

As Print Digital, you will play a major role in providing high-quality technical support through the functioning of full digital printing. You will support students and employees in the design, preparation and production of digital artwork and printed media, and enable them to produce record results for exhibitions and participate in experimental and innovative practices.

Working with service users from all over the College of Arts, including lower grades, post -grades, researchers, academics, and visiting lecturers, will be asked to maintain access to facilities in an organized and supportive manner.

It will provide practical technology experience in a wide range of digital printing techniques and techniques, including:

Canon Inkjet and OKI Laser Printers and Confers

Vinyl and application cuts

Photosine, magazines production, and linking books

Main responsibilities

• Support the digital printing process from party to party, from developing concepts to final output, including scrutiny and finishing.
• Provide expert advice and individual directives to students, and enable them to use digital printing techniques with confidence and effectiveness.
• Maintaining and operating a set of specialized printing equipment, ensuring access to resources, safe and suitable for the purpose.
• Facilitate creative experimentation and professional production in students’ work.
• Providing a comprehensive service to all users and support as required.

Basic skills and experience

• Extensive experience in digital printing, including pre -pressure, color management, design and production design.
• Adobe Creative Cloud efficiency, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Practical experience using Canon and OKI professional printing techniques, along with vinyl partitions and book connection equipment.
• Experience can be clarified in supporting students in the higher education environment or creative learning.

Strong skills between people and problem solving with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively complex technical concepts.

This is an ideal role for a person technically technically, co -coordinate, and is committed to providing high -quality educational support in the context of art and specialized design.
