Today we have Report on problems in mental health services In the United Kingdom.

It is not good enough for a country of our size and wealth.

If you talk to anyone who has any experience in working in mental health services, or anyone who used it, they usually say that this is not news and that it was like this for many years. Certainly, I was fully aware of all problems when I was a doctor at work, to the extent that we tried to treat as much as possible at home, as opinions and backups for mental health patients were dark, mostly bad.

It is woven today as problems in situations, and there is some authority to opinion that mental health is less worthy of many in the country. The real problem is the lack of facilities, the lack of resources and the lack of people on the confrontation line with the required skills. Leaving reorganization when reorganization, and pressure on pressure (all with the support of the Ministry of Health) has left psychiatry services in their knees.

For example, I used to use a remedy called lithium to help patients with dual -hyposexual disease: this started and monitored in primary care, as I felt I had experience and knowledge to do so. I preferred to do this in secondary care, but the resources were not present to provide a good service to my patients.

Who is responsible for the poor quality of mental health services? Is it the audience (with their mysterious position on mental health)? Are he the confrontation line workers (who are not good enough or abundant enough)? Or is it politicians (with their pressure on funding, and a meaningless reorganization)?

I know who blames him: But no one will bear any responsibility for this.

So I give this advice: financing the confrontation line correctly, treat professionals as professionals, and allow them to do the task they want to do.

Is this very difficult?
