About the role

We are looking for a distinguished leader to join our exam team. We really want this important role to pay the best possible candidate experience for each GP registrar sitting in the MRCGP exam. The candidates are also members of the college, and this is one of the most important transformations on their career.

To submit reports to the assistant director of the exams, it will supervise a team responsible for the operations facing candidates including the appeal, mitigating conditions, complaints, and reasonable amendments. It will ensure that these operations are fair and transparent and apply equal, which supports candidates with professionalism and sympathy, while protecting the safety of the high -risk license exam.

More importantly, you will lead to Communications strategy For the exam team, work closely with colleagues to enhance a coherent approach at the college level.

Summary of the main responsibilities.

  • Leading and managing the participation of candidates and reasonable adjustments, ensuring high standards for service and delivery.
  • Developing and providing a comprehensive communication strategy for exams, and ensuring clear participation, sympathy and professionalism with candidates and the wider stakeholders.
  • Supervising the operations facing candidates including appeal, mitigating conditions, complaints, preserving fairness, transparency, and accuracy.
  • Make sure to consider all reasonable amendment requests and implement them in line with political and organizational standards.

About you

You can bring a wealth of experience in communications or the participation of stakeholders or candidates’ services, and perfectly a strong background in education, evaluation or professional standards. You will be equally comfortable leading a team in high pressure environments as it strategically works through a complex institution.

The basic qualities of this role are:

  • Driving skills and individual management have been proven.
  • Strong communication skills and experiences
  • The ability to develop clear strategies and involve various audiences.
  • The ability to work cooperatively with senior stakeholders, and a budget for the support of candidates with the safety of the exam.

The MRCGP examination is an assessment of the end point that doctors should pass to join the GP record. Every year, about 6,500 evaluation candidates sit.
