The London School of Hygiene and Equity Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. This is a 18 -month search assistant position, as the successful candidate in the LSHTM PhD program started. The role is expected to lead to another 18 -month chance at the MAX Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR), in Germany, taking into account MPIDR terms and conditions.
The role depends on the mortality and inequality collection in LSHTM with a close partnership with the MPIDR digital and accounting department. Jose Manuel Aporto and Emilio Zagini (MPIDR) will be supervised by a successful candidate.
This position is an excellent opportunity for highly motivated and qualified candidates to work with an international team to develop new demographic, statistical and calculations in estimating, modeling and predicting health standards, luxury, and human deaths using traditional and new data, with a focus on evolutionary and religious countries.
The successful applicant will spend 18 months in LSHTM and register in the doctoral program, with LSHTM fees for the duration of the program. The role is expected to lead to another 18 -month opportunity in MPIDR, in Germany, which is subject to MPIDR terms and conditions. The successful candidate in the MPIDR Infrs-VHDS program will be recorded from the start of PhD training in LSHTM, which provides more opportunities for training and networks. They will work within a vibrant society, students and researchers, research in both institutes.
A pregnant woman must obtain the first degree (or graduate) related to social or health sciences, biomedia/statistics, epidemiology or demography. It is also necessary to experience related to sports demography, statistics, or other discipline with strong quantitative components to estimate population profiles and/or deaths. Humans are 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and a fixed duration for 18 months. The post is funded in LSHTM by the Wellcome Career Development Award immediately available.
The salary of the LSHTM scale in the range will be 39,432 pounds sterling – 45,097 pounds annually (including weighting in London). The post will be subject to the terms and conditions of the LSHTM service. The annual leave right is 30 working days per year, PRO RATA for part -time employees. In addition, there are appreciation “welfare days”. Pension scheme membership is available. The post is located in London in Lshtm.
