Applications are invited to a full -time English teacher for academic purposes at the Nuist Reading Academy, Nanjing University of Information and Technology Sciences (NUIST), Jiangsu Province, the People’s Republic of China.

Nuist Reading Academy is a pioneering joint educational institute in China, and it is a partnership between the University of Reading (UK) and Nuist (China). The Academy provides high -quality education for students in China and currently provides eight university programs: applied chemistry, international economy, trade, mathematics, applied mathematics, environmental engineering, air sciences, law, geographic information science, data science and large data technology.

This position is located in the modern city of Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province, with easy access to public transport, comfortable stores, hospitals, etc.

The main post Holder duties are EAP education during their institution’s year in the Academy. Students are required to achieve the equivalent of IELTS 6.0 by the end of the school year.

Main responsibilities:

• Teach EAP to the institution’s level students (with the possibility of some ESAP education for university students)
• Evaluating the developing efficiency of students in EAP
• Developing students’ ability to learn independently and monitor their independent work
• Providing support to learn the language of students outside the classroom

Person specifications:

• Advanced level of efficiency and communication efficiency in the English language
• Related TEFL/TESOL qualifications (for example, teaching diploma such as Delta is approved by English evaluation in Cambridge or Trinity College in London, or PGCE with Tesol)
• A good category of degrees in relevant discipline
• Ideally, at least an experience in teaching and evaluating and evaluating EAP
• Experience of managing courses and units in British/Western universities
• Excellent skills organized and communications and between the character
• The ability to work under pressure
• Excellent team player
• Prepare to work with flexibility as required
• Equipped with professional development

salary

• Annual salary (RMB, before tax): 300000+, depending on the relevant individual skills and experience.
• Travel allowance: from 10,000 to 15,000 yuan per year.
• Cny 1500/ month rental.
