A team of young scourges from Scotland and Northern Ireland is scheduled to represent the region in the scaffold of international competition in Lithuania next year.

All-Apprentice, between the ages of 16 and 21, will compete in the event, while the organizers say the first of the industry.

Ross Brown Market Manager

I-snf Director Ross Brown leads the initiative after discussions about attracting youth to the scaffolding trade in the first industrial events in Manchester.

It is now seeking to get care to cover the travel costs and equipment for the team.

The SAFFCHAMP competition, supported by SCAFFOLDING SYSTEM Layher, will be held in Lithuania next year.

Mr. Braun said that the idea came out of the “Punishment for Switch Industry” committee at the last SCAFFEX event, where the employment of youth was determined as a major challenge.

“We already have some amazing young talents in this industry, with the correct support, will join more,” He said.

“Try once in a lifetime”

The team will be supervised by a qualified team leader, but all competitors will be current trainees, offering what Mr. Brown describes as “skill and design” for young workers in trade.

“Competition for the world stage will give them one time experience in international competition, intimate friendship, and society,” He said.

“We aim to prove that talent, efficiency and mastery of the Layher system have no age.”

The scaffolding industry has faced continuous challenges in attracting younger workers, with concerns about the lack of skills that affect construction projects throughout the United Kingdom.

Mr. Brown hopes that the prominent competition will inspire other young people to consider scaffolding as a profession while showing the industry’s commitment to support the trainees.

Finance request

The initiative requires funding for travel expenses, personal protection equipment, tools, training and media coverage.

Mr. Brown is close to potential sponsors in the construction industry, and provides them with a vision in one of the leading international events in Scafolding.

“This is a unique opportunity to support and promote the next generation with increased vision for your brand on the international stage.” He said.

The team registration is currently taking place, as training is expected to start early next year before the competition.

The companies interested in sponsoring the team were invited to contact Mr. Brown to discuss the partnership arrangements.
