It will work at the ESRC and Police Research Center, which jointly leads from York University and Leeds University, with a team of more than 25 prominent researchers of various social sciences. By working along with 38 regional, national and international partners, you will play an important role, assuming great responsibilities for collecting data, writing research results, and contributing to translating knowledge through publishing and other work. Through a doctoral experience or equivalent research experience related to this research field and the experience that has proven its usefulness in experimental research, you will be able to show strong quantitative skills and experience in semi -organized interviews.

Join a well -supported multidisciplinary team from ten researchers at the center working in an exciting program of prominent research on weaknesses, will play a decisive role in this research. In addition to conducting field work, you will synthesize current evidence, develop research -based cooperation with large -scale partners and societies to enhance social change through research, and also contribute to influencing work and developing possible future research projects.

You will be managed by Professor Adam Krufford from the University of Leeds, and you will work alongside other researchers at the center and participating professionals who are experts in their fields, in providing advanced research on weakness and police. It will contribute to the team’s meetings, with the support of senior academics, playing an active role in research, implementation and influence, and working with politics, public services, societies, vulnerable persons and partners of NGOs in developing politics and practice.

The center is strongly committed to developing the jobs of researchers in the center, providing detailed training, opportunities to attend conferences, and the opportunity to participate in publications.

The postal holder is expected to work on the campus (either in York or Leeds) at least two days a week, including Wednesday, when we have team meetings. The role will also include travel requirements to search sites and events throughout the UK, and sometimes for long periods of field work.

Candidates should be ready and able to complete the DBS checks and examine the police once in the post. In addition, due to the requirements for undergoing a police examination to enable the research procedure, the successful candidate must be residing in the UK for at least three years of appointment.
