The Health Sciences Center at the Usher Institute at the University of Edinburgh is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic research assistant in health data and innovation sciences.

Opportunity:

This post provides a rare and exciting opportunity to help forming the future of unprecedented health care and emergency in Scotland by harnessing the power of advanced analyzes and health data in the real world.

As a researcher, you will work in a fast -paced research environment where the data meets decision -making. With the support of senior colleagues, you will contribute to a cooperative team working in a close partnership with health care and community care leaders. Your role will focus on help in developing and implementing data -based methods that generate implementable visions. These ideas will lead to quick courses of improving service and reporting health care directly on the front lines. This work is completely in line with the health and social care strategy in Scotland and will contribute to a more responsive, effective and fair health system.

This program will go beyond data analysis to enable the system level. From enhancing urgent care paths to enhancing community prevention strategies, your contributions will affect the real world through data, which helps to build a healthy system and more adaptive care that can fulfill the increasing demand precisely and sympathy.

Your skills and characteristics for success:

  • A good university degree in a related topic, or is able to show relevant and rewarding experience
  • Efficiency in at least one statistical programming language (for example, Bethon)
  • The ability to apply knowledge, skills and related techniques in research projects
  • A high level of computer fluency with the ability and the desire to quickly identify new applications when needed
  • The ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
