When I walked on the stage and the party started, there was still a blow through the crowd as they completed the orders of drinks in the bar and finding their positions for the rest of the award ceremony. your MC professional I understand this dynamic, so I performed a small conversation to calm down. Or at least, so you should calm down. He did not.

Now, I have done it for years, so when people do not want to pay attention to the host or MC, this means that they are not in mood for that (or they do not like his style of humor), they want you to communicate with the show. I have no problems with this at all, you are there to get prizes, not me, it’s very valid. I am paid to keep you enjoying, and entertaining him will do that, so I presented the prizes. The thing, though, the crowd still makes noise through the entire award ceremony. I had to constantly reprimand the crowd and asked them to maintain calm, and to have some morals and respect for the winners, but they still did not give the curse.

A long short story: A team of people spent, through their time and ability, at least 9 months at work hard to make last night a reality, and the crowd was not interested in less. They paid R400 for their tickets, drank their free drinks (mostly), and felt entitled to do everything they wanted. Reality Check: You can’t. It happened to everyone, not just for you. So why do you behave badly and do not respect your peers in your industry?
