The Nutrition Department at New York University, Food Studies, and Public Health seeks a year -old visitor professor in diets. The Food Studies Program at New York University follows a multidisciplinary approach to studying food production and consumption, especially in urban environments. The program is examining the complications of providing the city, including food, transportation, water management, waste and the rural/urban interface. Political and health issues are also a document related to issues surrounding food systems.

Qualifications: PhD in the relevant field, teaching experience, research record. We are ready to consider candidates who have a set of research interests, which may include: environmental studies; Urban studies or planning with a focus in the rural/urban interface; Waste management and/or water management; Public policy (i.e. agricultural policy and urban markets); Political or cultural geography; Agricultural biology science studies of landscape design with a focus on the northeast.

Responsibilities: We are looking for candidates who can contribute to the food studies program at New York University, especially the training courses in the focus of food systems in the master’s program. The candidate is expected to be an active teacher and participate in the intellectual life of the program and management. The situation is to start on September 1, 2011.
