How LinkedIn uses progress in the sector’s markets and product offers

After using the free version of LinkedIn for a long time, I felt curious about the paid version. When clicking on “Try Premium”, I saw this:

Immediately I knew this would be good. Why? Since all these options were not describing the product, they described progress – that is, how I can improve because of the product. In other words, these are jobs to be performed.

One product / offer for each job to be done

When identifying myself with JTBD, I am transferred to this page (Figure 2). You can see how LinkedIn has distilled consumers according to the job to be performed, then create a product for each job.

My favorite is my profession. Notice how Unpalatable desires It indicates that the signals describe how LinkedIn helps you The “job” function to be done:

  1. Entittenal and communicate with employment managers
  2. See how you compare other applicants
  3. Learn new skills to enhance your career

LinkedIn explains: There is nothing functional about the job to be performed

The common misunderstanding – which unfortunately lasts by some JTBD lovers – is that the job to be performed has some functional quality.

This is not true. There is nothing function about my desire to apply. Instead, it is the product that works. I have a progress I want to score, and I rent a product to do this job (i.e. work) for me. This is the complete reason behind the jobs to be performed.

Again, LinkedIn gets it properly. When describing each product, they show the progress you will achieve, then show how a Product function This progress is delivered.
