The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) seeks to employ a trained unit in the Information and Communications Technology Unit in Addis Ababa – Ethiopia.

The International Livestock Institute (ILRI) improves the lives of people in low and medium -income countries through livestock sciences that contribute to fair and flexible livestock systems to provide diets with climate and environmental benefits. It is the only one among the 15 CGIAR Research Centers for Animal Agriculture Research for the developing world. About the situation:

ILRI ICT section is responsible for providing technical support that enables ILRI employees to communicate and cooperate and perform their duties effectively. Support is provided through business systems, SharePoint updates, computers, software, cybersecurity, and networks. The department guarantees operational efficiency by maintaining infrastructure for information technology.

The trainee will support the ILRI IT and Technology Service Office by helping to manage the Information and Communications Technology Office Tickets. In addition, the trainee will also be directed to the various information technology and communications units they do.

Main responsibilities:

Theintern will work closely with the employees in the department and participate in the following tasks: –

1. Manage the Information and Communications Technology Service Office and the appointment of tickets for the right technicians.
2. Providing basic support to users of information and communication technology services.
3. Performing routine diagnoses for information and communications technology systems.
4. Help in preparing material and virtual meetings.
5. Cleaning records in various information and communications technology systems.
6. Test new programs and technical tools.
7. Install new programs and devices on the end points.
8. Providing devices and resources to employees as required.
9. Performing other duties that can be customized by the supervisor.

Power requirements:

The perfect candidate must: –

1. He currently enrolled in a university degree program at the first university stage and follows a Bachelor’s degree in computers, computer engineering, information technology or relevant field.
2. Show efficiency in Microsoft Office.
3. It has a good thing in the written English language and the word.
