The Bristol University Library is looking to appoint a head of research support (open access) to provide strategic and operational bullets for open access publications and wealth. By working cooperatively with the head of research support (data), you will participate in leading the library research support team that provides services for open access publications, research and excitement data management, research data and digital scholarships within the institution. It will be part of a broader leadership team in the library responsible for providing leadership and guidance to support the development of strategic planning for library services, and to inform the library’s senior management team of trends and opportunities emerging in your field of responsibility.

What will you do?

As head of the library’s research support:

  • Developing strategies and policies to support library research in compliance with university research strategies with a group of stakeholders inside and outside the institution.
  • Be the library’s subject expert in matters related to technical issues and compliance related to the research life course, while paying special attention to open and reference access.
  • He played a major role in overseeing the contribution of library services in the institutional endeavor to support open research and improve research safety and research culture.
  • Managing and establishing relations, partnerships and cooperation throughout colleges and professional services in Bristol, as well as the Foreign Ministry of the Foundation.
