Applications are invited to fill my post -PhD research in the Intensive Physics Group at the College of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester. The successful candidate will join a vibrant team of researchers, who have been at the forefront of two -dimensional material research since the discovery of graphics in 2004, and will work on a series of projects related to graphics and two -dimensional materials, funded by EPSRC and a group of other international financiers.

The job is available immediately for 12 months (with the possibility of another year extension) and will focus on the investigation of molecular and ion transport applications through the capillaries made of two -dimensional materials and heterogeneous structures that will lead to technological development of two -dimensional materials.

The successful candidate will hold a doctorate (or equivalent) in experimental work on physics, intensive material physics, chemistry, and material science. Preference will be given to experienced applicants in molecular/molecular penetration measurements and the manufacture of heterogeneous structures of two -dimensional materials. Applicants will have great knowledge and experience in manufacturing devices based on two -dimensional materials and are able to make sensitive electrical and electrochemical measurements. It is advisable to experience work with accurate electrical measurements, as well as excellent technical ability through a group of manufacturing and description facilities. Candidates should also be well organized and self -motivated with excellent communication skills. The strong record of publishing in magazines that the international peers has been essential is necessary.
