The Materials Department wants to appoint a researcher to join the group of vital active materials from Professor Johnny Baker in the Department of Materials, the College of Natural Sciences, the College of Science and Engineering, and the University of Manchester to work on new barrier materials of biological fibers, and suitable for flexible packing. This project is funded through the early phase partnership program in Epsrc, and this position will be positioned at Manchester University at the Henry Royce Institute.

You will be a trial and innovative experimental world recently presented your thesis or successfully completed a doctorate (or equivalent) in materials, chemistry, engineering, or close discipline. Experience in the formula and knowledge specialized in spinning nanopathic fiber and its connection is necessary. This specific position will focus on the design and engineering of vital materials for achieving the properties of the barrier similar to the counterparts of the fossil of the fossil of moisture sensitive materials. The project will include working closely with a major industrial partner: Unilever, as well as all researchers appointed in this project.

The general purpose of the job

You will design and formulate fiber and rotate from biological and/or -bound polymer solutions as part of a flexible mobilization solution to achieve improved barrier properties. You will improve yarn solutions and parameters to rotate large -sized mats using the electroshing electrical facility experimental at the Royce Institute Center at the University of Manchester University. The fiber and mats deposited to determine the density of spaces, porous, fiber size, and their physical and chemical properties. Moreover, it is expected to manage projects and/or supervise the novice researchers, as well as maintain research records, help IP secure and attend regular project meetings.
