Are you an ambitious researcher looking to achieve all the new research outcomes and political effects in the field of carbon accounting? Do you want to enhance your career in one of the leading universities in the United Kingdom in the field of research?
This role includes conducting carbon accounting, using an input analysis, multi -productive output (MRIO) and relevant technologies, for a joint project through research and innovation in the United Kingdom (UKRI) and the Ministry of Energy and Safer Power Security (desnz). The Research Center titled “Production and Consumption De transformations” will explore the alignment of the industrial strategy in the United Kingdom, and resource consumption policies with the short and long -term climate targets. With DESNZ 35 % funding of the project, it will work directly with large policy makers who provide implemented visions that can lead to a real change in politics.
You will join a team with a strong history of applied research in the field of carbon accounting. Leeds MRIO (UK MRIO), which is used to produce consumption emissions accounts in the UK government. You will be asked to use quantitative research methods, (including writing and keeping the Python icon) in the development of the UK MRIO for a set of applications, with work alongside the broader search team in a multidisciplinary environment. It will present a strong commitment to the multidisciplinary research applied, actively work in the team’s environment, and show an obligation to address the climate crisis while showing a strong background in connecting evidence and visions to many stakeholders.
This role will be based on the university campus, with a field to be played in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discuss flexible work arrangements.
