About the role

As a research colleague, you will join Baden Lab, a very cooperative and cooperative neuroscience group within the College of Life Sciences at the University of Sussex. Our laboratory focuses on the investigation of how neurons processing visual information and driving behavior, using various types of vertebrates as typical systems.

In this role, you will contribute to extremist research using SCRNA-SEQ and related techniques to investigate the molecular identity and evolutionary relationships of retinal nerve cells in early varied vertebrates. You will design and operate experiments and analyze data using Python. It will be part of a dynamic environment that appreciates open science, cooperation and innovation.

About you

You will keep, or be on the verge of completion, doctorate in neuroscience, biology, or a related field. You will have experience in Scrna Seq. Techniques, strong programming skills (preferably Bethon), practical experience with vertebrate retinal research. You should be able to manage multiple research projects, work independently, and contribute to a supportive team environment. Publishing record in the magazines reviewed by peers and excellent communication skills are also necessary.

We are especially interested in applicants who have innovative ideas and great attention to pushing the boundaries of photography -based neuroscience.
