This post will be based in the Department of History at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at King, London (KCL). The King’s History Department is an internationally recognized center to study the history of the world. We are an intellectual home to scientists every region in the world, who use methods ranging from local micro -staples to a wide range. About the role

The “Covid-19 Voluntary Work” is a project that relies on the mouth that depends on history that explores the policy of digital health work carried out by Covid-19 volunteers in contemporary India. Under the leadership of Dr. Tarangini Sardan, the project team includes two post -doctoral research partners.

This is a medium -level PDRA mode. The appointed person will use digital humanities methods to analyze and visualize qualitative novels to work relief from the epidemic that consists of social media use, helping vaccination online, and enabling digital monitoring in the form of communication tracking. Research objectives include an assessment of the following, (a) a policy of providing relief responses in a timely manner through digital applications during epidemic locks; (B) The role of sex, class and layer in forming volunteers’ access to the digital health infrastructure; (C) The contemporary inheritance of the healthy work that the epidemic in the digital scene (D) The global allegations of India for digital health infrastructure and its impact on health work at the base level and vice versa.

Digital Humanities methods can be widely consisted of familiarity with skills such as coding, discovering data, archiving, visualization of data, relationships of relationships, or digital stories novel, but may not be limited to them. The appointed person should be able to clarify how some of these methods can be useful for a project that studies the insecure shapes of the Covid-19 health.

The appointed person will be asked for up to two months of field work every year, the production of his own publications and participation in his authorship, organizing a workshop, and contributing to the production of Podcasts that includes Covid-19 volunteers.

King’s is a famous institution in the fields of research for health, digital humanities, and South Asia.

This is a full -time post (35 hours a week), and a specific contract will be submitted for a period of January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2028.

King’s research employees have the right to obtain at least 10 days per year (Pro-Rata) for professional development.
