About this team and the role:
Mozilla is looking for a manager of the release management team to lead the team responsible for coordinating Firefox via desktop, Android, and iOS. In this role, the full version of the version-from planning and verifying pre-version will lead to post-version analysis-with enabling the difference and leadership with visions and automation that depends on data.
You will lead a global distributed team and cooperate with product, engineering, QA, security and engineering to ensure that Firefox provides high -quality experiences for hundreds of users. You will play a major role in making the version faster, more efficient and focusing on users.
What will you do?
- Leadership and support for the version management team oversees Firefox versions on the desktop, Android, and iOS.
- Cooperation closely with multi -functional teams to determine and implement the pre -release validation strategies, ensure timely, stable and safe products with a comprehensive test coverage, in -depth risk analysis, and proactive management of problems before issuance.
- Design and improve the scales, information and tools that teach decisions, measure quality and follow the health of the version.
- Developing and implementing operations to improve the release rhythm and support the gradual deportation strategies.
- Payment of automation and operational excellence to expand the scope of issuance activities via platforms.
- Coordination through time areas and stakeholders, including volunteers and shareholders in society.
What you are attending
- 3+ years of experience in managing a team and supervising the software issuance operations in the software development institution.
- The success of charging products via platforms showed perfectly through mobile devices (Android & iOS) and desktop client environments.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with standards and remote measurement and data platforms (for example, SQL, Loker, Redash, Tableau, custom information panels, ETL).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version tools, version control systems, and problem tracking systems (Bugzilla, Jira, GitHub).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, especially in remote and unsafe settings.
- The ability to move in mystery and build alignment through various technical groups.
- IFAT with Apple App Store / Google Play, and best practices that have been shown.
- Infintering with desktop distribution platforms (Windows Store, Flatpak/Snap, DB/RPM Resources, etc.).
- Experience in automating mobile devices and experimenting (for example, A/B test).
- The background in the development of open sources or community cooperation.
- Knowledge of software quality, security, performance and privacy considerations.
