Founded in 1934, 32BJ is the largest worker in the country’s real estate services union. We have a strong and important task: building and developing a diverse, effective, political and democratic organization for workers to change our lives to the best, improving our societies, and building a more just society for current and future generations.
By adhering to building an authority for low -wage workers, 32BJ is participating in winning strong contracts for members, organizing workers, supporting progressive candidates for elected positions and moving the extensive policy agenda, such as immigrant justice, organizational rights, affordable housing, increasing the minimum wages, and expanding access to health care.
The Federation includes approximately 450 employees in sixteen offices from Boston to Miami. 32BJ Seiu represents more than 185,000 real estate service workers, including workers, security officers, airport workers and food service employees in eleven states and DC. 32BJ is a subsidiary of SEIU, the International Federation of Service Employees, which includes two million members devoted to raising industry standards and making life better for all families and operating societies.
Summary of the main duties and responsibilities
Strategic leadership and planning
- Cooperation with the director of the dues to determine the goals of the departments and strategic plans.
- Development and implementation of policies, procedures and performance standards.
- Use data -based tools to evaluate and improve departments performance.
Operating control
- Supervising the daily operations of the Divide Department.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and financial goals.
- Directing and supporting employment employees.
Personality Management
- Punishment, training, professional development efforts.
- Setting smart goals to develop employees.

Qualifications

Work environment
This is a full -time position based on the office that requires regular travel to work and participate in events, marches and demonstrations. The role may include work outside normal working hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed to meet the demands of the situation.
Compensation and benefits
The salary of this role ranges from 85,000 to $ 95,000, depending on experience. 32BJ offers a generous benefits package that includes a medical and medical plan and a vision for entire employers (for full -time employees and qualified recipients) and retirement advantages, including specific benefits pension plan and 401K. 32BJ provides paid leave including three weeks of leave, eleven holidays, twelve sick days, and after the first year of service, four personal days. The Federation is currently providing a work policy for one day a week, according to the director’s discretion.
