Biological Photography Chair (CBI) At Munich Technical University (TomThe IBMI In the Helmholtz Munich is an integrated multidisciplinary research unit, which provides vital engineering solutions for urgent social needs. CBI scientists develop the methods of photography and sensing from the next generation to measure the properties of the living systems that are not previously accessible, and therefore, stimulating breakthroughs in biology, medicine and the environment. CBI includes 12 multidisciplinary laboratories and scientists from more than 25 countries, and provides modern infrastructure for innovative research and an ideal environment to accelerate your career.


The task:

The project’s optics from the European Union are seeking to revolutionize type 2 health care by combining the apparent molecular style, advanced audio imaging, and artificial intelligence -based mathematical models. Its goal is to develop and verify digital twin that enables the previous prediction, improving the patient’s class division, and better preventing diabetes and its complications.

Student Assistant:
• Recruitment of participants to study optics
• Review and collection of the approval of the participants
• Conducting audio survey and helping to collect blood and urine
• Enter the questionnaires, laboratory data and photography data in the study database
• Communication and coordination with the doctors at the site in Zentrum München Süd and the study coordinator on the TUM chair for biological photography


Your profile:

The successful applicant must have the following:
• Join a medical student (ideally in the fifth semester of the study)
• Certified training for the transmission of dangerous materials
• The strong motivation, scientific curiosity, and the commitment to scientific excellence
• The skills and enthusiasm of the team player to work in a cooperative multidisciplinary environment.
• fluent in German and English
