Job title:
This post is for a technician to work within topic 2, “Diets and Environmental Systems”, at the South Yorkshire Center for Sustainability (SYSC). We work together throughout the southern Yorkshire to support a fair and sustainable transition to Net-Zero to the region.
You will support the research team in a project that focuses on understanding the capabilities of carbon insulation throughout the southern Yorkshire to support the evaluation of natural capital in southern Yorkshire and the strategy of restoring the next local nature.
The project is looking at how soil management affects soil carbon stocks, and in this role, you will be responsible for planning field work and treating soil samples in the laboratory.
Applicants should keep the 3 (BTEC/A) level in the relevant field (or have equivalent experience) along with experience in the soil laboratory analysis with a focus on organic materials, carbon and quantum nitrogen.
