The Metropolitan Planning Department in Nashville and Davidson Province seek a data analyst to join the metro housing department inside the department. The metro department was established in January 2022, focusing on identifying and implementing solutions to help Nashvielance to achieve and preserve security. Data analyst will play a major role in housing data management to support policy development and program implementation. The perfect candidate will be a proactive individual to start it can take the initiative and bring creative ideas to the team related to stories, data visualization and data management. The situation will be mainly responsible for collecting, analyzing and maintaining Housing at reasonable prices Data, construction of reports, management and update Housing information panel at reasonable pricesSet housing trends, collect and visualize performance standards in the unified housing strategy, and support data -based decisions through the department.

This position will submit reports to the higher housing policy analyst or its designers and will work cooperatively with the metro housing team; Metro layout; Other metro sections; The Development and Housing Agency.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Collect and maintain updated inventory lists for affordable housing units in Davidson Province.
  • Update and management of the housing dashboard using a Tableau platform; Coordination with internal employees and external partners to update the dashboard.
  • Collect and analyze data for performance standards shown in a unified housing strategy and develop curricula to integrate these standards into the housing information panel to track progress and results over time.
  • Coordination with other departments and partners to collect data panel and housing stock.
  • Collecting, cleaning and analyzing data from various sources to support internal reports and evaluating the program and public communications.
  • Create maps based on geographical information systems and spatial analysis products to visualize housing trends and support decisions.
  • Monitor and synthesize housing studies, reports and relevant data groups to inform the partition strategy and policy initiatives.
  • Develop the operating procedures and standard protocols to direct the department management of the section.
  • Ensuring the safety and accuracy of data in all reports and tools facing the year.
  • Helping with private data projects as well as appointed by the supervisor and senior employees.

The minimum qualifications/favorite standards

The application of these individuals who meet the minimum qualifications will be reviewed to determine the extent of training, experience, and experience in the following areas:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • A subjective start with the experience of generating ideas and solutions, especially about the perception of data, storytelling and data management
  • Iffairs with geographical information systems and spatial data analysis, prefer experience
  • I familiarity with Tableau, prefer the experience
  • Knowing the housing policy is preferred
  • Advanced efficiency in the use of Microsoft products, including Excel

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited in data sciences, general policy, statistics or field-related field and 3-5 years experience in data analysis, data management or a related analytical role

or

Master’s degree in the relevant field from the approved college or university and 1-2 years experience. A mixture of education and experience can be considered.

Salary range: $ 74,733 to 87,094 dollars
