Working in cooperation with the elected council of the organization, which is a body of sixteen members that includes officers and three categories of four members of each of them, the Executive Director of the American Bibliographic Association plays a leadership role through the proposal, development and implementation of policies and programs that address the current and future needs of a community of biscarmists and commercial management of society. The CEO provides reports to the president of BSA and is working closely with the CEO of the association’s ongoing ruling. The Executive Director provides the extensive interests of society and its members, which prevents this society with vision and purpose.

The ideal candidate for this role is a global cooperative leader who is able to express a vision of sustainable growth of society. BSA offers wide multidisciplinary membership and is committed to strengthening a varied and comprehensive society. BSA CEO should be able to work with a wide range of individuals, including but not exclusive for students, scholars, library secretaries, maids, book artists, museum professionals, book sellers, universities and donors.

Compensation: $ 75,000-90,000 dollars, depending on qualifications and experiences, as well as retirement and health benefits, a three-week-paid vacation to start, 13 paid holidays, and 18 patients paid.

Responsibilities and work duties

  • The association’s activities are coordinated, including work with the Juvenile and Chairs Committee to organize personal events and the Internet-significantly-organizing the annual meeting.
  • It is involved in donor supervision, development and fundraising activities, often in partnership with the president and the industrial secretary
  • Supervising the financial affairs of the association by working closely with the treasury secretaries, review and investment committees, including the appropriate and timely deposit to return the Tax and Review Authority reports
  • The community committees facilitate, ensuring appropriate communications and supporting the deadline
  • It is coordinated with the maintenance and promotion of the scientific magazine of society.

  • He runs relations with related societies and scientific organizations, both national and international
  • A part -time administrative assistant is supervised, including ensuring the regular update of BSA policies, procedures and documents.
  • Intermittent travel, is not limited to the representation of society in important academic/bibliographic events, including rare book fairs in the main United States

Qualifications

  • required
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • At least 5 years of experience in organizational management, including budget, juvenile management, planning and evaluation of projects
    • The ability to communicate effectively was shown by mouth and writing
