The IWB IWB Institute (IWB) in TUM is looking for a researcher (M/F/D) in the production of sodium ion battery cells, starting from January 1, 2026.
about us
One of the largest production technology institutes in Germany. The main topics include production and logistics services, machinery tools, assembly and robots technology, batteries production, sustainable production, additional manufacturing, and laser technology. Our scientific staff in these areas work in research, teaching and the transfer of industry in order to obtain a doctorate degree.
requirements
- Master’s degree with distinguished grades in mechanical engineering, physics, information technology, chemical engineering, chemistry, or production engineering, as well as similar topics
- Public attention to the issues of production engineering and investigation
- Enjoying technical systems for supervision and programming
- Attention and independent work style
- Creativity and preparation for experience
- Team and Communication skills
- Very good skills in German and English
Responsibilities
- Independent work in research projects to produce lithium -ion battery cells with a focus on expanding the scope of innovative operations
- Intermediate products analysis and battery cell properties
- Independent work in industrial research and projects
- Directing and supporting students in their studies projects
- Teaching in the field of production technology
